Customer:  Czech automotive supplier.
Challenge:     Planning and production of a semi-automatic system for the production of laser light sources for front headlights.
Solution:

Together with the customer, a seven-station system was designed, which automatically assembles the individual components by means of high-precision positioning, gluing and screwing after manual input by the operator.

Connecting the individual stations with a rail system allows the operator to bring in all the individual parts required for assembly at a collection station. Again, the finished product is removed at the same collecting station after the cycle. Distribution of the individual parts to the respective work stations is done automatically.

For tracking purposes, the individual parts are scanned at the stations where they are to be installed using a DMC code and assigned to the respective assembly in the system.

Procedure used: High-resolution machine vision, reliable measurement and testing
Benefit of the concept: High-precision positioning and repeat accuracy.
